Jade A. Jefferson

Since her high school years, Jade Ashland Jefferson, CNMT had always been fascinated by science. Coupled with her desire to her others, she ultimately found her way into the health care industry. Since 2021, Ms. Jefferson has excelled as a certified nuclear medicine technologist at Banner Boswell Medical Center, where she specializes in performing tests such as scans, injecting radiations and educating patients. She builds off earlier experiences as an intern in nuclear medicine technology at Banner Health, SimonMed Imaging, The Heart Clinic and Gateway Community College.

After earning an Associate of Science, with honors, from Estrella Mountain Community College in 2018, Ms. Jefferson went on to earn an Associate of Applied Science in nuclear medical technology from Gateway Community College in 2020. She is a certified nuclear medicine technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, as well as certified in basic life support (BLS) for health care providers through the American Heart Association.

Reflecting on her career trajectory, Ms. Jefferson attributes her success to her close relationships with her parents, who were her biggest supporters during her collegiate studies. With this sentiment, she considers a highlight of her career is being the first in her family to graduate from college. Looking ahead, Ms. Jefferson hopes to obtain her certification in computed tomography and to continue to improve her knowledge on nuclear medicine.
